Certification & Accreditation
of Information Systems specifically emphasizes an
in-depth analysis of the US Governments process for the System Test
& Evaluation, Certification, and Accreditation of Information
Systems processing Unclassified and Classified Data. The
course emphasizes an approach and process to Certification and
Accreditation that will enable attendees to successfully gain system
Approval To Operate (ATO) under various
Federal Regulations to include the DITSCAP, NIACAP, DCID 6/3 and the
DODIIS.
Instruction will consist
of lecture, computer
based demonstrations, and team projects. Student teams will develop
SSPs and /or SSAAs for a variety of network configurations and
scenarios
special emphasis will be placed on automated tools
available to enhance the efficiency of the C&A Process.
